DAS-8007

Wireless Reader System for IPT & IPTT Micro-Transponders

The DAS-8007 Reader is a hand-held device for reading ID data from BMDS Programmable Micro-Transponders. The reader has an integrated display for displaying captured ID data and for providing a control interface for various menu driven options. As a portable system, it includes a small separate communications module that provides a wireless data link between the reader and a computer. The reader comes with a recharging base and power supply. The lithium rechargeable batteries are user replaceable.

The reader’s control panel includes a row of sequencing LED lights that provide an indication that the reader is actively scanning and attempting to capture a transponder ID. This allows the display to be momentarily shut down to minimize interference.

There is a complete user menu that provides features such as timestamp, ID storage, setup, programming, temperature display and battery level. The wireless communication module includes both a USB serial port and a USB keyboard output. The module is powered via the USB connection. Each module includes a unique “Link ID” number that the user can program into the reader for creating a dedicated wireless communications link. Signal strength indication is provided with a 20’ receive distance.

The reader can also be used directly in its recharging base via an available auto mode. In such use, the reader first uses the line voltage provided by the charging station, saving the battery for portable use. Though the DAS-8007 is primarily a hand-held system, there are special order options for stand mounting, an optional wired USB serial, and direct power barrel connection.

Features and setup can be password protected to avoid accidental changes.
