A Fully-Integrated Data Acquisition Probe Designed for Scanning Large or Isolated Animals
With a distinctive round-headed scanner, The RSP-6004 and RSP-6005 Smart Probes make gathering RF identification and associated data from transponders located in large or isolated animals easier than ever.
Quick Scanning with a round-headed shape. The distinctive silhouette shape of the RSP-6004/6005 Smart Probe’s scanner creates an expansive, circular reading field, allowing you to scan large or isolated animals quick and easy.
Slim, lightweight wand. Read and process data with a slim, lightweight wand [1.6” x 9.5” with 3” for the round head]
Flexible deployment options. The RSP-6004 and RSP-6005 Smart Probes are designed to be used as both a handheld and mounted probe, depending on the DAS-6000 reader-programmer you select. For example, mount the Smart Probe on a convenient hands-free stand [DAS-6008]
Scan in two convenient modes. The Smart Probes features two scan mode buttons at your fingertips. An auto scan mode directs the Smart Probe to automatically scan for a transponder every 2-3 seconds, allowing a researcher to gather data rapidly from many transponders within a close location. With the manual scan mode, the Smart Probe only reads transponder data when the scan buttons are pressed.
Complete, automated integration of RF data. Why call them “Smart Probes”? Because the RF processing of animal IDs and associated data takes place within the RSP-6004 and RSP-6005 Smart Probes and is seamlessly integrated with DAS-6000 reader-programmers and connected PCs. The RSP-6004 and RSP-6005 Smart Probes feature microprocessors that can be programmed with a DAS-6000 reader-programmer to read and process RF data directly from a transponder and process it within a database format. The RSP-6004/5 must be powered by a DAS-6000 reader-programmer.
Two versions for BMDS transponders. The Smart Probes are designed in two models based on the transponder you use. The RSP-6004 Smart Probe works with the the standard Implantable Micro Identification (IMI) transponder. Operate the RSP-6005 Smart Probe with the Implantable Programmable Temperature Transponder (IPTT) and the read/write non-temperature sensitive IPT.
NEW Optional Accessory RSP-6005 PBC. "Programming Booster Coil"
Specifically designed to work with the RSP-6005, this accessory allows for foolproof programming of a IPT-300 or IPTT-300 in-needle. This adapter snaps right onto the RSP-6005 reader head and requires no additional connections. Ergonomically designed for ease of use in the lab environment, it makes gloved programming a more streamlined operation. Once the device is used for the programing procedure it can be easily removed and stored. After the transponder is placed in the animal and is out of the needle, normal scanning can commence with no changes to reader setup or adjustments. If you are an existing RSP-6005 user and would like this accessory, please contact BMDSs' sales office here
, and include in the subject line Programing Booster Coil, and a representative will process your request. New RSP-6005 orders will show the device on the quotation.
