For researchers seeking a dynamic programmable transponder, but without the need to record temperature, the IPT-300 provides all of the powerful features of its acclaimed companion, the Implantable Programmable Temperature Transponder. Designed to operate with BMDS Smart Probes 6000 and 7000 series Reader-Programmers, the IPT-300 possesses the same reliability and accuracy of the IPTT-300.  

Medical grade glass encapsulation. Ensure long life inside, and out side of the specimen.

Access identification data with every scan. With a simple scan of a glass-encaspulated IPT-300 transponder using a compatible BMDS Smart Probe, researchers can access identification codes of an implanted animal.

Simple, humane implantation. At approximately 14 millimeters in length by 2 millimeters in diameter, the IPT-300 can be simply and humanely implanted within an animal. Designed to be minimally invasive, IPT-300 transponders are injected with a syringe-like action with a pre-sterilized disposable needle gently into an animal’s tissue.

Anti-Migration Cap. The IPT-300 features an internationally patented “anti-migration” device that securely anchors the transponder to tissue at the implant site. A polymer coating on the capsule-shaped microchip encourages soft tissue to form and anchor the transponder securely in place The transponder also is biocompatible, making it suitable for all laboratory animal species.

A turnkey, pre-sterilized assembly. Each IPT-300 transponder is pre-loaded in an easy-to-use sterilized needle assembly comprised of a handle, the stainless steel needle and drive pin. No assembly is required. Simply remove the needle cap, implant the transponder and dispose—all in one clean operation. IPT-300 transponders are packaged in boxes of 100.

Passive, battery-free power. As a battery-free chip, the IPT-300 is powered by a Smart Probe RF signal when it scans the transponder. The IPT-300 retains stored information even when it is not powered.
