The Innovative Reader-Programmer System for the crowded workspace

Sharing many of the innovative features of the DAS-6001 and DAS-6002—including an expanded integration with peripheral devices such as PCs and PDAs—the DAS-6003 Tower System makes collecting and managing transponder data easier than ever. Perfect for the lab seeking the advanced data collection features of the DAS-6000
Series, but lacking the need for memory cards to store data and map database formats, the DAS-6003 is an ideal reader-programmer system for tight, crowded workspaces.

Many data sources-one database record. The DAS-6003 functions as a dynamic database by collecting and storing data from transponders, formatting it all into one database record within its internal memory and displaying the data in an easy-to-read Vacuum Fluorescent Display. Incoming transponder data from Smart Probes can be automatically date and time-stamped.

Transmit to almost any peripheral. While engineered to be a fully-functional stand-alone device, the DAS-6003 also can serve as a hub in a larger data collection system by transmitting real-time or stored data to personal computers and other digital devices using the Console’s data ports.

Enhance setup and data importing with DASHost™. You can use the BMDS software program DASHost™ with the DAS-6003 to expand your setup and database capabilities through a PC and import data into popular spreadsheet products.

Program Smart Probes and Transponders.

As a fully-integrated data acquisition system, the DAS-6003 can be programmed to read and collect data from BMDS Smart Probe scanners (SP-6004/6005, RSP-6004/6005, RR-6004/6005). Program the DAS-6003 to collect data from a range of industry-leading BMDS transponders that transmit identification and temperature data such as the Implantable Programmable Temperature Transponder (IPTT), the read/write non-temperature sensitive IPT and BMDS’s popular IMI ‘read-only’ transponder. All that is required to switch transponders is a simple probe change with no need to reconfigure data setup options already programmed into the DAS-6003.

Expand control with a keyboard connection. Connect a peripheral keyboard directly into the DAS-6003 to create a data collection task, enter long ID codes, program transponders and use the Memo feature to add notes and observations to data entries.

Designed for easy adoption. While offering a range of data programming and setup capabilities for the advanced user, the DAS-6003 is easy to train users to master its basic data collection operations. A Smart Probe, connected to the DAS-6003, reads implanted or needle-based BMDS transponders for identification and temperature data—depending on the transponder model deployed. Data can be easily viewed within a two-line LCD screen. Each time a transponder is read or data measurements entered, the new data appears in a second line of the screen as the previously entered data moves up to the first line. Scrolling back and forth to review data is easy.

USB port enables PC and PDA compatibility. Plug the DAS-6003 into a PC or PDA and output data appears as a keystroke.
